P2P.org and Arkis integrate staked assets for institutional margin

Institutional clients can now leverage staked Solana and Avalanche positions as trading collateral through a new integration between P2P.org and prime broker Arkis. The partnership allows funds to maintain yield-generating assets while simultaneously accessing credit, bypassing the liquidity delays typically associated with unstaking processes.

The integration, currently live within the Carry Trades section of Arkis Alpha, enables assets to remain active in staking protocols while serving as financial collateral. Arkis calculates margin based on the aggregate risk profile of a client’s account, incorporating the specific validator performance and slashing history of the underlying assets. This approach treats validator reliability as a core component of the underwriting process, moving away from traditional models that ignore the yield-earning potential of margin-backed capital.

Artemiy Parshakov, vice president of strategic solutions at P2P.org, emphasized that staking requires rigorous operational standards when used as leverage. By aligning P2P.org’s validator infrastructure with Arkis’s credit framework, the firms aim to mitigate risks such as network downtime or technical penalties. While this arrangement allows for more efficient capital utilization, it does not eliminate market-driven liquidation risks or potential reductions in collateral value due to protocol-specific penalties. Arkis, which reports over $250 million in institutional credit deployment since 2022, continues to scale its platform as demand for yield-bearing collateral grows among professional trading desks.
